Code of Conduct

Last updated: August 2026

Applicable to all members, guests, trial users, coaches, and visitors on our premises.

Section 1: Our Community Standard

Club One is built on discipline, respect, and hard work. Everyone who trains with us — regardless of experience level, age, or background — deserves to feel safe and welcome. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abusive language toward coaches, staff, or fellow members will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or termination of membership.

Section 2: Assumption of Risk

Boxing is a physically demanding, contact-based sport that carries an inherent risk of injury. By training at Club One, members acknowledge this risk and agree to follow coaching instructions at all times. Sparring or contact drills may only take place under the direct supervision of a qualified coach, and members must use the protective equipment (gloves, hand wraps, mouthguards, headgear where applicable) required for their session.

Section 3: Facility Use and Supervision

Equipment such as bags, pads, rings, and mats should be treated with care and returned to their proper place after use. Please give priority to scheduled classes, wipe down equipment after use, and follow any capacity or rotation guidance from staff during busy sessions. Unsupervised use of the ring or advanced equipment is not permitted for members who haven’t been signed off by a coach

Section 4: Hygiene and Health

Please train in clean workout attire and use a towel during sessions. Hand wraps and gloves should be aired out or washed regularly to avoid odour and skin infections. If you have an open wound, contagious illness, or skin condition, we ask that you sit out contact drills until you’ve recovered. Closed-toe training shoes (or bare feet on mats, per class rules) are required in training areas.

Section 5: Attire and Equipment

Members should wear appropriate athletic clothing suited to boxing training. Personal gloves and wraps are recommended once you’re training regularly; loaner gloves may be available for beginners but are limited. Jewellery, watches, and other items that could cause injury during contact drills should be removed before training.

Section 6: Bookings and Communication

Class bookings made through our website, app, or booking platform are subject to our cancellation and no-show policy: cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows or late cancellations will need to contact our trainer directly to see if the missed session can be rescheduled, and may be held liable and forfeit the appointment if proper notice wasn’t given, as our trainer has limited spots to accommodate all clients. Please arrive on time — late arrivals may not be able to join a class already in progress for safety reasons. Any official gym communication will come via email or directly with our trainer over WhatsApp, and members are asked to keep contact details up to date.

Section 7: Personal Property

Club One is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Please avoid leaving valuables unattended during training.

Section 8: Photography and Social Media

We love celebrating our community online! By training with us, members agree that photos or videos taken during general classes or events may occasionally be used for Club One’s social media or marketing, unless you notify us otherwise in writing. Members should ask permission from coaches and fellow trainees before filming or photographing sessions themselves.

Section 9: Safeguarding and Minors

Junior members must be accompanied by or have written consent from a parent or guardian. Coaches and staff are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times when working with minors, and any concerns can be raised directly with gym management in confidence.

Section 10: Prohibited Items and Conduct

Weapons, illegal substances, alcohol, and smoking (including vaping) are strictly prohibited on the premises. Aggressive behaviour outside of supervised training or sparring, including outside the gym toward other members, will not be tolerated.

Section 11: Enforcement

Management reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership for breaches of this Code of Conduct, at its discretion, particularly where safety or the wellbeing of others is at risk.

Section 12: Amendments

This Code of Conduct may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our policies or facility. The most current version will always be available on our website or at reception.

Section 13: Acceptance

By training at Club One, all members, guests, and visitors agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
